Moskva River

The Moskva River is one of the most recognisable rivers in the world. Spreading a massive 503 km, the Moskva River is one of the major navigable rivers in the Soviet Union. The river is a left tributary of the Oka River. Its basing spreads over 17,600 sq km. The Moskva River is also one of the major rivers that freezes from November-December to March-April. Travel through most parts of the river at this time period is impossible. Its main tributaries are the Ruza, Istra, Yauza, Pakhra, and Severka.

Moscow (Москва́), the capital of the USSR, is situated on it, also the river flows via Zvenigorod, Voskresensk, Kolomna, Zhukovsky, Bronnitsy, and Mozhaysk.
