Friendly Aliens Mutants

All of the species which make Friendly Aliens are immune to the harmful effects of radiation in terms that it doesn't make cell DNA so damaged that it turns into malignant cancer. The DNA is only ever changed to create a different type of cell. This is because the alien DNA is very highly evolved, all alien species have almost x100 times more DNA then humans, this is due to extremly efficient packing of the genetic material in the nucleus (hence the slow growth of the Aliens). The radiation merely deactivates some genes and activate others changing the cell's purpose. Also genes which control apoptosis (programmed cell death) and cell growth are never affected by mutagens due to their high number of biological fail safes. This sort of development can be tributed to the long line of evolution for all Friendly Alien species with many thousands of years of travelling in space.

All the mutations are unique however some similar mutations have risen which have been documented and given a code name, to make describing a certain mutation easier. For example the an external mutation is given a E before its name. Growth of an extra appendage is code named a type-10 mutation. Therefore growth of an appendage external to the body is a E-10 mutation.
