NationStates (region)

NationStates is one of the largest player-created regions in the game. It is pro-economy, pro-society, pro-UN, and pro-peace. Above all, it believes in freedom for all nations to control their own destinies in a region free from war.

Life in NationStates

While other regions are heavily structured and organised, NationStated has a fluid, relaxed apporoach to regional affairs. The region is pro-economy, but its not a country club. It is pro-society, but only by consent. It is pro-UN, but not compulsorily. It's pro-peace, but it is not anti-war.

NationStates is a free society, but one with values.

Recent Regional Occurrences

A controversial clash between the Queendom of N a t i o n s t a tes and Mikeswill caused a schism in the region in October, 2005. The chain of events leading up to the clash is unclear, but it seems that the Queendom had received too many endorsements and was poised to take over the region. Responding to this, Mikeswill ejected the nation, who countered by sending personal messages to other members of the region with a complaint and founding a new region, NATIONSTATES. Around 60 to 70 nations migrated from NationStates to the new region. During the past few days, the north eastern part of Nationstates has fallen into anarchy, and become the new region of Black Flag. The Regional Founder, United Anacreon has given his UN membership in order to insure peace in the region. United Anacreon is engaging in peace talks with the regional warlords to insure that Nationstates and Black Flag are at peace.
