National Security Council(Wazistan)

The Wazi National Security Council is the President of Wazistan's senior advisory body on matters of National Security and Foreign Affairs. The NSC is part of the Presidential Administration.

Membership

The President of Wazistan serves as the Council's Chairman, with the Vice President as the Vice Chair. The Council has 5 statutory members. They are the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Minister of Defense, the Minister of Interior, the Minister of Security, and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of the Armed Forces.

The Council also consist of 21 more members, all appointed by the President. Other officials who are welcome to attend NSC meeting include the Palace's Chief of Staff, the Chief Counsel to the President, and the Director of the NIA. The Attorney-General participates in NSC meetings pertaining to his responsibilities.

The Secretariat

Day-to-Day operations of the NSC are run through the National Security Secretariat, which his headed by a Secretary-General appointed by the President from among the 21 appointed members.

The Secretary-General serves as the body's Cheif Administrative officer, and is considered the "face" of the Council. The Secretary-General appoints all officers in the Secretariat. The Secretary-General also has major role in coordinating national security policy. It is common for the official holding the office to participate non-partisanship.

The current holder of the post is Raqmei Mohamd.
