New British Islands

New British Islands was founded in 1694 by an Englishman named William Reynolde. William never wanted his new land to be controlled by Britain, but after a period of unrest called "The One Year War" Britain seized control. This victory was short lived, in 1802 New British Islands gained fullindependence. In 1603 the Grand Duchy was formed and that institution lasted for a hundred years. In 1901 the Chrisland Empire opened relations and friendly contacts were formed. Everything was peaceful and prosperus for the country until a Chrisland ship set fire to a New British ship. This lead to war and in May of 1930 an occupation by Chrisland. The Chrislanders had thousands of colonists and intalled Lord Sebastion de la Chrisland on the Governor's position. On October 21, 1957 William Reynolde VI succesfully gained full independence through a combonation of brilliant military tactics and diplomacy. William Reynolde was made Grand Duke on Christmas Day, 1957. He was the 30th ruler and the 24th Reynolde ruler. He was given the title of Great after he lead his country throu a civil war, a Depression, and a war with Chrisland.
