Overview

The New Haven System is the territorial designator for the Chara system, which lies roughly 30 light years from Sol. It has two terrestrial planets and three gas giants, as well as serves as the homeworld system for The Imperium of New Haven.

Cacus

Cacus, named after the fire-breathing monster that was also the son of Hephaestus, is a planet extremely similar to Venus every way. Such an oddity is considered extremely rare and many surveys of the planet have been conducted because of these strange similarites. The planet rests 0.72 AUs from Chara and is considered a future target for terraforming efforts in the system.

New Haven

New Haven is the second planet from Chara. This world acts as the homeworld for the Imperium of New Haven and is compatible with all terran forms of life. See the full article for a more detailed description of this world.

Bacchus

The first and largest gas giant in the system, Bacchus, is a major source of Helium-3 and various alcohols in the Hermes Alliance. The gas giant orbits at a mean distance of 6 AUs and marks the boundary between the Inner New Havenic System and the Outer New Havenic System.
