Allowing for rapid over-water transport using Ekranoplans from Volga Shipyards Ekranoplans, also known as Wing in Ground effect vehicles (WIGs) uses an air cushion that forms under the Ekranoplan's wings, and keeps it airborne about 1-0.5 m over the water surface.
WIGs are cheaper than airplanes, however they are restricted to water and otherwise very flat wide areas.

Routes
We fly shuttle traffic between Pinewood Springs Little Norway, and from New Noumea to Matrixfart. Departures are every hour for the former, and every two hours for the latter.
