History

Traditionally, and since creation, Niploma has been excessivly peaceful. Indeed, the 'New Armed Forces' (as they are casually known) will be the first for around fifty years. The last soldiers in Niploma's army were sacked and the Armed Forces dissolved in 1954 as it was realised Niploma's community could live peacefully.

Yet, the Socialist Internationalist Party chose before the nw re-election that an Armed Forces should be created to, 'Defend Niploma from international threats, defend our people from unforeseen disasters and to add to our National Pride'. Mr. Robert, Niplomas Prime Minister, further re-assured his public by delcaring that spending would be 'minimal'. It is expected spending to be less than 1% of GDP.

Niploma's lower house, the Democratic House, voted overwhelmingly for an Armed Forces. It was agreed that the forces would be planned and prepared before Samhain, the celebration of the end of Celtic summer. The Armed Forces will be 'ready' by 2006 at latest.
