About Norgeland
Norgeland is a sub-continental region on the northern tip of the continent of Corellus. It was founded in 1135 A.D by Scandinavian colonists escaping the increasingly powerful Catholic Europe. In 1525 AD Norgeland was established as an empire which lasted three hundred years. The empire dissolved in 1812 and the states became independent once again.
Since then the region has been one combining a mixture of territorial conflict, international and social progression, nationalist isolation, and individual peace that forms a unique environment.
The Nationalist Republic of Lorkhan and the Commonwealth of Falgoust are considered the two major economical and political powers, and are seen as bitter rivals though neither country has taken arms against one another. The Boarderlands of Gravedom remain hostile with Lorkhan however, and territorial conflicts between the two nations has lasted since the re-establishment of Lorkhan and the creation of Gravedom's sovereignty in 1881.
The Teutonic Legions of Das Furer were the former superpower and the seat of the old empire. As a military state, they currently have the largest military force in the region, but have fallen significantly in terms of political and economical power. Much of their cultural influence remains however; instituting a state of nationalism and pride in all of Norgeland and creating the region's official language.|
Diavola is a mysterious nation that remains secluded from all but Falgoust and Das Furer. The nation is run by a collective of warlocks and priests and serves as the spiritual center of Norgeland.
The Confederation of DaxCorp is a group of city-states joined under the franchise of DaxCorp Industries, the largest conglomerate in Norgeland. DaxCorp city states are run by CEOs and all residents are considered workers in the company.
