With a population approching half a billion, Nova Mercia comprised almost 20% of the current population. Originally a Krytenian colony until the Revolution, then an independent state until 2024, when after an economic collapse and nationwide riots brought in Krytenian forces. General Douglas Gould would hand the nation to the Krytenians barely a week later, before fleeing his own people. He was last seen working in a fast food outlet in Vecchio, Starblaydia, under the name "Doug Oric".
The capital of Bromham has some stunning Gothic architecture and is regional capital, Tyfield is the industrial centre, and Ousevale is home to Buccinia University, the largest academic establishment in the United Provinces.
