The Osias Academy is a univeristy in Osias, Sabrateur. It is the most prestigious and revered Institution of Education in Sabrateur, and for this reason is very exclusive; only the very best and most promising students are accepted through its doors. Its current Dean is Professor J. J. Maher, PhD., who has held the position since 1989.

History

The Osias Academy was founded in 1605 by Dr. Patrick Muir, an accomplished physician of the time. At its time of opening, the Osias Academy was a dedicated medical school, however Muir was gradually persuaded to teach more subjects, whilst still maintaining a traditional syllabus, with subjects like Medicine, Classics, Music, Sabratese Literature, and Calumnian. Alumni include many past Kings and Princes, like the current King, Alexander James V, and also news editor Andrew Joyce and musician Allan Raneberg.

Current Courses

At time of writing, the Osias Academy offers 20 degree courses, with each course having between 20 and 60 places, making it astonishingly difficult to gain a place. Most courses offer extensions to Masters level and Doctorate level.
