Overview

A powerful PopularFreedom Rugby League (PRL) team. The franchise is based in the northern PopularFreedom city of Pearson Cliffs.

History

  • After two seasons of building the Pearson Cliffs Pirates rose to dominate the league in the 1989 season. In this 1989 season they were able to win their first of three championships by defeating the Locke Harbour Dragons 55-53 in a wild final of a match.
  • In 1990 the team, though strong, lost out in a semifinal and would have to wait until 1991 to repeat as champions winning easily 39-17 in the final.
  • In 1992 the Pirates became only the second team to win back to back championships as they defeated the Locke Harbour Dragons in the final 32-14.

Since these highlights, though the team has remained relatively strong over the years it has yet to appear again in a final.
