From Army of New Martinique

A Zagorlad scouting party proceeded cautiously along the road, alert for the greencoated Sicinians who could fire from so far away. As they rounded a bend there was a blast from above them and a tremendous rumble. The party turned their horses and galloped away as tons of earth, stones, and boulders cascaded down on the road. When the dust had cleared and their ears had stopped ringing the officer of the riders moved cautiously forward to investigate. He cursed.

The road had been blocked off by almost a mountain of shill and soil. It would takes days to clear away all that. There was a cheer from the steep slopes above him and a few rifle bullets whizzed down as the Company Engineers and the Riflemen withdrew. The officer turned and made for safety. He had to send for his army's own engineers.
