From the 3rd Shock Army

Brigadier General Nicholas d'Fayme proud proudly on a 500 coronum white stallion, which held its head up high as if sensing the majesty of the moment. Behind him stretched the 2nd Brigade of the 3th Shock Army, the colors of the 4th, 5th and 12th Foot fluttering in the breeze. A battalion of the King's Swords, one of the finest cavalry units in all Sicinia, rode on the flank, the steel of their helmets and cuirasses glinting golden in the last rays of the sun. It was a scene to stir the heart, and d'Fayme knew it. He had served as a Captain in the Panselle War, a Colonel in the Three Day's War, and at last he was taking his brigade into battle.

The fifes played "The Girl I Left Behind Me" while the drums beat frantically, stirring up the passion of the men. It began somewhere among the 12th Foot, but spread quickly up and down the line, until thousands of voices shouted out with pride:

"Saint Michele! Saint Michele! Saint Michele!"

D'Fayme grinned like a boy, then twirled his sabre in a glittering arc. "FORWARD!"

The men cheered and broke out into a dead run, their bayonets turned a bloody orange by the sun. Behind them three more Brigades, the body of the 3rd Shock Army, followed the second into battle. Sicinia had come.
