Precalculus Party

The Precalculus Party was a single-issue political party in Zwangzug, dedicated to educational reform. It consisted of several hundred high school students whose mathematics class was being increasingly occupied by excruciatingly boring study of voting count methodology that would be covered on an upcoming standardized test for eleventh graders. A sizable proportion of the class, however, consisted of students significantly younger than eleventh grade. (Mathematical talent at a relatively young age is too common in Zwangzug for the term "prodigy" to be used.) The juniors formed the party to voice their concerns over this. Though they disbanded after their high school graduation, many of them reconvened to perfect the preferential voting system still in use, albeit with painful memories resurfacing. Their most common motto was "Borda is boring...but plurality is even more so.".

Several years later, six of its members (Brian, Drew, Morgan, Shelly, Leah, and Jonathan) visited Rejistania to share their system of instant-runoff voting there. Brian, who became the lentine (leader/representative) of the group, stayed there, and is now known as Rajinx McAdams.
