President of the Confederated Peoples in Congress Assembled

The President of the Confederated Peoples in Congress Assembled is the Chief of State and Government of the Resurgent Dream under its current Constitution. The office is comparable to that of a Prime Minister under the Westminster system.

Although it is a natural outcome of the caucus system within the Congress of the Confederation that the leader of the majority caucus be elected to the presidency, there is no official presumption to this effect. The President gains his office by being nominated in Congress and then receiving the votes of a majority. The President can be removed from office in the same manner with or without a replacement being elected at the same time. It is not required that the office of the President be perpetually filled.
