Project Atomic Thunder

Project Atomic Thunder is an ongoing Izistani R&D program aimed at developing various methods of nuclear propulsion for space craft.
The designs range from standard nuclear thermal rockets, to Project Orion type nuclear pulse systems. Several prototype nuclear thermal rockets have been tested and the results have been extremely promising.
Knowing that some members of the international community might regard the development of such devices as a threat, the program has been classified.
