Reactive Adaptive Motive Armour

Reactive Adaptive Motive Armour, or RAMA, is an exclusive design of the Commonality Space Force and the Crown Air Force (CSF and CAF). The technology is exclusively available to the Iluvauromeni Commonality of Everlasting Light.

Rumours coming out of the Commonality suggest the basic principles of the device to be 'simple', although execution is most definitely not. It is understood to be a nanotech-based piece of hardware, used for cladding vessels especially designed to house the one-piece unit composed of (what is believed to be) tens of billions of small components. The most plausible theory suggests that each component is 'programmed' to react to specific current or voltage, and realigns 'autonomously' upon the correct application of energy. This material is also believed to be capable of producing an electromagnetic field of the magnetic impetus class, providing the vessel or object bestowed with the armour with a propulsive, reactive and dynamic electromagnetic field.

The only known class in active service utilizing this technology is the Tyelca Tuo class pocket cruiser.
