Several attempts have been made to repeal the Sexual Freedom resolution. The first repeal to reach the UN floor, in August 2006, was sponsors by Kivisto. The second repeal, sponsored by Karmicaria, reached the UN floor a few months later in late October 2006. 2nd attempt

The second Repeal "Sexual Freedom" was the second resolution sponsors by Ka to reach the UN floor. Though the reached the floor on Oct. 31, 2006, the official debate on the motion began on Oct. 29. Repeal proponents pointed UN members to the replacement resolution, hoping to sway more votes in favour of the repeal. However, many nations that approved of the replacement, such as Norderia, still had reservations about opening up the floor towards potential blocker resolutions.[1]

UN Resolution #7: Sexual Freedom (Category: Human Rights; Strength: Strong) shall be struck out and rendered null and void.


Argument:
A Repeal of Sexual Freedom

Whereby UN Resolution #7 Sexual Freedom shall be struck out and rendered null and void.


The United Nations


RECOGNIZING the Universal right to privacy for sexual relations;


COMMENDING the intent of Sexual Freedom to protect such privacy;


MINDFUL, however, that incidents, crimes or accidents may occur during the course of consensual sexual activity of which government agencies should be made aware;


FEARFUL that loose interpretations of Sexual Freedom's broad language may result in such incidents not being properly reported or investigated;


WISHING to curtail continued omissions;


ENCOURAGING a more detailed replacement; hereby


REPEALS UNR#7 Sexual Freedom

MINDFUL of various important reasons, for example, criminal investigations and public safety, where the government has a legitimate right to protect its citizens;


CONCERNED that the limitation of UNR #7 to the "home" does not allow for non "home" private settings, such as rental properties, hotel rooms, etc.;


FEARFUL that the resolution, as written may result in unreported epidemics, unsolved murders, and a number of other problems which can have a dramatic impact on the population at large;


WISHING to curtail continued omissions;


ENCOURAGING a more detailed replacement;


Hereby repeals UNR#7 Sexual Freedom
