Grammar
All words are created from a root word, various endings are added to change the word around. Stems all end in an "i".
- Geni-(note: sometimes the root word may be used as names for people)
Verbs
To make a verb add another "i" to form the infinitive. (note, both "i"s are pronounced seperatly)
- Genii-to succeed
Conjugations
When you conjugate the verb it is slightly different than other languages, first you conjugate it in either the singular or plural form by dropping an "i" and adding the ending, then you add the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd person pronoun before the verb.
- Singular ending- "si"
- Plural ending- "ni"
- 1st person---La
- 2nd person---Na
- 3rd person---Sa
- I succeed---La genisi
- You succeed---Na genisi
- He, She, It succeeds---Sa genisi
- We succeed---La genini
- You (pl.) succeed---Na genini
- They succeed---Sa genini
Tenses
To change the tense you will change the ending of the pronoun.
- Past: change to an "e": Le genisi- I succeeded
- Past Progressive: add "da" after ending: Le genisida- I was succeeding
- Present Progressive: add "da" after ending: La genisida- I am succeeding
- Future: change to an "o": Lo genisi- I will succeed
- Future Progressive: add "da" after ending: Lo genisida- I will be succeeding
To express these ideas in a passive voice you add "ere" after pronoun but before the verb. (note, because the past tense pronouns end in "e" the passive modifier is changed to "ire")
- Le ire genisi- I was succeeded
- Le ire genisida- I was being succeeded
- La ere genisi- I am succeeded
- La ere genisida- I am being succeeded
- Lo ere genisi- I will be succeeded
- Lo ere genisida- I will be being succeeded
