Conjugations

When you conjugate the verb it is slightly different than other languages, first you conjugate it in either the singular or plural form by dropping an "i" and adding the ending, then you add the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd person pronoun before the verb. Also to negate the verb add "le" after the verb, but when used in progessive verbs the ending "dela" will be used (as opposed to "dale")

  • Singular ending- "si"
  • Plural ending- "ni"

Tenses

To change the tense you will change the ending of the pronoun.

  • Past: change to an "e": Le genisi- I succeeded
  • Past Progressive: add "da" after ending: Le genisida- I was succeeding
  • Present Progressive: add "da" after ending: La genisida- I am succeeding
  • Future: change to an "o": Lo genisi- I will succeed
  • Future Progressive: add "da" after ending: Lo genisida- I will be succeeding

To express these ideas in a passive voice you add "ere" after the pronoun but before the verb. (note, because the past tense pronouns end in "e" the passive modifier is changed to "ire")

  • Le ire genisi- I was succeeded
  • Le ire genisida- I was being succeeded
  • La ere genisi- I am succeeded
  • La ere genisida- I am being succeeded
