Roam Island

Roam Island is a former protectorate of Taijan which has only recently gained provincial recognition

History

Choppy waters in the Straits of Saint Christopher meant that Roam Island was seldom reached. Finally, in 1829, Spanish missionaries reached the island and founded a monestary on the northern edge of the island, to this day called St. Blaze. Slowly, but surely, it became a huge Catholic enclave, attracting all levels of clergy and devoted believers. Such landmarks as the Shrine of St. Croix, the statue of Mary at St. Martin and others symbolize Roamish devotion to Catholisism
