Rogue Alliance

History

The Rogue Alliance is a splinter group formed from one of the co-founders of the Anti-Entsteig region, Karchosia. He and his puppets split from Jaghur after various internal conflicts. Karchosia then formed the Rogue Alliance, unbeknownst to Jaghur, while the Entsteig Wars were still active. Upon the declaration of the Rogue Alliance, Karchosia declared their region neutral in the conflict. This caused the balance of power to tip against the Anti-Entsteig nations. The war was ended out of public discontent.

However, the newly formed Rogue Alliance was still small and undeveloped. Karchosia sent out his puppets on a desperate attempt to form more alliances and assure their security. They discovered a few nations, Romandeos among them. Years went past and the Karchosian nations fell into a state of disrepair, eventually being engulfed in anarchy. They were no longer recognized by the international scene as a nation. However, recently the anarchists have been suppressed and the nations reformed under the new name of Karchozia. The Rogue Alliance still stands, all because Romandeos maintained the suddenly empty region.

The nation of Read lots has brought a few puppets to the Alliance, and have since been a great benefit to their overall economic status. Read Lots, Wandering Companies, and Kill Lots are sometimes collectively known as the Leyendo Confederation.

Read lots, Wandering Companies, and Kill Lots, have recently been expelled from Rogue Union, however. This was due to an attempt by Wandering Companies to usurp the leadership position that Karchozia had held. Karchozia quickly regained control and a general consensus was reached, ejecting Wandering Companies. Wandering Companies created a rival alliance known as Rogue Union, which was joined by several nations envious of Karchozian power. Rogue Union grew in strength when Read Lots and Kill Lots pledged their support to Wandering Companies. They were promptly expelled as traitors. In an attempt to garner more strength, the remainder of Rogue Alliance focused on recruiting outside nations for help. Jaghur and the Trade Alliance eventually came to aid Rogue Alliance, merging into one alliance after years of separation. The New Soviets Republic was also persuaded to join and is currently a vociferous member of the alliance.

The group has been able to establish much better relations with Entsteig and defeated the splinter group Rogue Union during the ruinous Rogue War, partitioning the Union member nations into several jointly-administrated zones.

Economy

The nations have very diverse political backgrounds. Karchozia, Sienska and Breshaa have historically been economically-focused. But due to their new paranoia of falling again into anarchy, they have cracked down on potential "problems". This has had a deteriorating effect on their economy. They have given too much funding to increase their police force and establish their military dominance. Recently, they have been undergoing political reforms by lowering taxes and giving funding to Welfare.

The Read lots puppets have by far the most economically minded governments. They have made decisions that have shown an overall positive impact on for their GDP. However, they are still a young group that needs to stay focused on the long-term to survive.

Romandeos has a been maintaining an adequate financial status. They make decisions that have had a good impact on their citizens, while still trying to keep their economy out of the red.

Region Politics

Karchozia has regained control of the region as a whole, with Romandeos controlling as the UN Delegate. In fact, the Karchozian government has instituted radical changes to maintain the unity of the Rogue Alliance, such as allowing gays to marry. They recently had a region-wide ballot to elect a Regional Head. Vasil D'Anglas, the long-time Sienskan diplomat who is part of the Karchozian Diplomatic Corps, was elected in a near landslide victory over nominee Boris Gorbovich, a Breshaan politician. Upon his promotion, D'Anglas has restructured the internal power of the Rogue Alliance.

Role-Playing Reference

In online Role-Playing threads, there are a few differences between the regional nations and the RP nations:

1) Karchozia and Karchosia are melded into one nation, and are referred to only as Karchozia. This generally only applies to titles, and not to population or budget increases, although this is up for reform.

2) Jaghur is the primary nation in the RP's, with Hiearche, Ioniar, and Brasgada as subsidary colonies. Varyl is merely a protectorate nation. Thus, Hiearche, Ioniar, and Brasgada fund and supply Jaghur's war efforts.
