The Rolls of Grand Manses (1352) is a massive undertaking of medieval tax assessment under the reign of Alfred I (r. 1349-1372) that also established the right of magnates and burgesses to meet with the king to discuss matters of taxation, thereby becoming one of Parliament's founding documents.
