Runins and Runin are the official and historic languages of the Free Land of Runis. The gramatical structure of Runis and Runin resemble English but differ in a number of minor ways. The etymology of the Runis and Runin languages are something of a mystery but some words can be traced back to the more recent collonial period and are cognates of words in Lengi and Celdonian.

The Runis and Runin languages both use the Runis Alphabet which contains a large number of phonetic characters. Abbreviated memos, tables, records, and personal letters between friends are often written using the simplified Runis alphabet. Characters of the simplified Runis alphabet corespond with English or Celdonian letters.
