Sankh Horus, People's Commissar of Ankhmet

Brief Explanation

Sankh Horus is the premier of the United Ankhmeti Socialist Republics, a collective of states who over the past 300 years fell under the influence of the island of Ankhmet (e.g. Egypt, UK, Holy See, Germany). He came to power after the violent Northern Revolt sparked a general revolution amongst the soldiers of the Ankhmeti Guards Army. When the revolution reached the walls of the capital (Ankh) a charismatic young commissar of the revolution came up with a successful plan to trap the defending guards army in the alleyways of Ankh's warehouse district. Over the next eight months the defending guards army was pushed to the very steps of the palace of the dictator Shepmet Ra (also known simply as 'Re'). It is rumoured that the young commissar used his Mosin Nagant rifle to shoot the dictator as he climbed into his helicopter. Since then Sankh Horus has been People's Commissar.

Childhood

Sankh Horus was born on 30th March, 1990 in the northern holy city of Akronos. He grew up in a fairly affluent family, but saw great poverty around hium. It is believed this gave birth to his revolutionary ideals. As a child he was nearly kidnapped by one of the many poverty-stricken citizens of Akronos. As his attacker was dragged around the corner and shot, the young Horus knew the system was unfair.

Teenage Years

As a teenager he was sent to the best military academy in Ankhmet, and gained a reputation as an excellent marksman. He was recruited into the Ankhmeti Youth Guards, where he recieved traiing as a sniper. He left the Academy at the age of 16, and enlisted into the 'Ankhmeti Guards Army, Northern Division' where he was immediately noted for his work in the Youth Guards. There was constant unrest in the north, and by 2009 he had 200 confirmed kills.

To their surprise the Northern Region accepted the revolution, and 75,000 northerners joined in, accompanied by the 5,000 veterans of the rebellion. Within two moths they had fought their way to the capital city. Eight months later, on 23rd June, 2011 the remainng defenders of Ankh surrendered.
