Imperial control over Sarcanza had always been feeble at best. The people of Sarcanza hailed from a proud past, their control dominating much of present day Macabea. Like the civilizations of old though Sarcanza was doomed for destruction. Under combined pressure from the nations of Guffingford, Zarbia, and Macabea the Sarcanza collapsed with a final blow to its capital at the hand of Macabee armies.

The policies of Imperial Macabea would not bode well with the Sarcanzan's. A religious people, it was of little suprise when the Holy Church of the Broken Dawn caused a minor insurection in the region. Under pressure the crown eventually mobilized several divisions of security forces to supplement the garrison of the region -- the very troops that the Sarcanzan Rebels would eventually face. It is to say that if those forces had never been mobilized the revolt during the War of Golden Succession would have been sucesful.

Because of the large scale nature of the War of Golden Succession the term 'Sarcanzan Rebels' has become associated exclusivley with that war.
