Sean Fitzgerald

The reverend Sean Fitzgerald is a Catholic priest from Cherry Ridge. He is known for his progressive vies, much to the ire of the generally orthodox population of Cherry Ridge. He is best known for his popular radio show The Father Fitzgerald Hour: Ravings of a Progressive Priest.

Backround

Aside from being assigned as the pastor of Saint Brenden's Catholic Church in Columbia, the center of immgirants and their children from the former United States, he is also the chaplain to the local Legion of Labor, and hosts his weekly sattelite radio show, The Father Fitzgerald Hour: Ravings of a Progressive Priest, and generally antagonizes the mainstream Orthodox Catholics of Cherry Ridge.

Views

Father Fitzgerald is known for his oppostion to church teaching on contraception, argueing for its allowal if the couple intends to have children in the future, election of bishops by priests, localisation of the canonization process. In addition, he is an ardent Ecumenist, working for Christian unity. Politically, he supports a Prussian Republic, and labor reform within all Prussian nations. He advocates seperation of church and state.
