Sir Jack Thornton

Sir Jack Thornton (born 25th June 1948 in Hamilton, Bazalonia) is a Bazalonian businessman and sports-club owner. He is a major share-holder in Royal St Samuel Air and and owner of Velks Vagen Motors. In 2007 he became the controlling stake-holder in St Samuel football club Véoncy Bay Football Club.


Biography

Jack Thornton is one of eight brothers and sisters, born in Hamilton, Bazalonia. He inherited his father's Ice Cream business in 1980. Very soon Jack Thornton began investing in other businesses.

His main expansions were into the property and hotel sectors, with a company which he founded named Zoiree. Ten years later he sold Zoiree for a staggering £800,000,000.

In 1991 he bought struggling St Samuel automobile manufacurers, Velks Vagen, which was on the brink of bankruptcy. By 2000 Velks Vagen was once more a leading brand in the St Samuel automobile industry. In 2002 Jack bought a 40% share in Royal St Samuel Air.

On the 18th of January 2002, he became Sir Jack Thornton when he was knighted by the King of St Samuel for "services to entrepreneurship." Most notably, was his take over of Velks Vagen and not only saving thousands of jobs, but creating thousands more, for what was a doomed company until his takeover.

Jack Thornton now lives in Palm Cove, Véoncy, St Samuel. He is married to Lianna and has six son's and three daughters. He has recently expanded his business empire to include shopping centers, hospitals, gyms and nursing homes all under the name of JT & Son International.


Sports ownership

Véoncy Bay Football Club

In June 2007, Thornton paid £600,000,000 for 100% of St Samuel King's Division football club, Véoncy Bay Football Club. The takeover was warmly welcomed by Véoncy Bay fan's, with Thornton's promise to inject whatever it takes to make the club go places.

Among his plan's for Véoncy Bay FC he has begun construction of a new 60,000 all-seater state of the art stadium and promised a huge transfer budget for manager Lorenzo Milliano.
