Smack is the vernacular tongue of the Dominion of Triple Option Football[[1]], characterized more by the seemingly-insulting tone of speech it requires than any substantial differences from the English language. Concepts conveyed by a speaker fluent in Smack to a listener who is also fluent are rarely understood unless the involvement and achievement of the speaker are stressed above that of others and to the detriment of the listener. For example:

IMPROPER: IniTech [the speaker's employer] stock rose six points today; we all did well with that investment.

PROPER: Man, we're so sick right now! I'm gettin' rich betting on myself! You couldn't pull this if your life depended on it!

Interestingly, a fluent Smack-talker's first instinct is to be offended by the former sentence; he will respond enthusiastically to the latter, however. The overarching tone of competitiveness in the speech of Smack-talkers is thought to have its origins in the glory DTOF citizens ascribe to competition; their mode of speech has changed to correspond with their aspiration to be victorious in competition. Foreigners--against whom their competitiveness is most fierce--are almost always insulted by this manner of speech, perhaps with good reason.
