Smorggograd

Smoggograd is located to the south of the Smorgg mountains in a valley between the mountains Krubel and Krudzk, the city was founded by the Yusef Diamonds Company during the second migration, due to it's unique position it faced Bandit activity nearly every day and the city was rebuilt every few years or so.

History

Smorggograd initially had no name, it was merely a settlement created to house the plethora of workers at the nearby Yusef Familiy Quarry, the mere shanty town quickly grew into a city in the space of a few months, the new migrant workers had to be fed and as more workers arrived the Yusef found themselves on the edge of crisis, if the people did not feed they would fight but they could not be fed because there was no food.

As Yuri and his family packed to leave the town before it erupted they were saved by minor chance, the Bandit Gangs had cut off the supply of fresh food into the Family territories, now the enemy was not the Yusef family, but the arrogant Bandit's who seemed to care only about money and themselves.

Other Family workers had risen up in arms against their masters and although each revolt was quashed it layed the seeds of discontent for other riots, but not in Smorggograd where the people had eye to eye contact with the Bandit gangs whom they dispised unlike others who admired these rebels.

As the sun rose on a frosty winters morning the first incision was made, the Bandits flew down upon Smorggograd and left it in flames to pay for the stubborness of the Yusef Workers, Yuri was the first to inspect the damage seeing so many dead he ordered that the city be abandoned, none followed his command, instead they all rebuilt the city adding more defences, pitfalls and traps to fight the Bandits, another attack followed and the city was rebuilt, another attack and another each and every time the city was rebuilt better and the people had learned, they could fight back and win and soon the Bandit gangs realised that Smorggograd was too hard to crack.

Yuri was approached by Romanov after an oil deal to supply Smorggograd for twenty years, Yuri was old and needed to pass on the torch and so he gave the city over to Viktor who declared that it was the greatest city in all Smorgg, Smorggograd now remains the de facto capitol.
