The Steel Mountains are a mountain range of the Northern Continent.

Entymology

The name "Steel" is derived from the abundance of both iron/chromium and coal. Also, the mountains have a light grey-to-white steel-like colour.

Geology

The Steels are formed and shaped by collisions between the Sovereignian Plate(the geologic plate holding the Northern and Northeastern Continents) and the Oceanic Plate. They are upwarped mountains, and non-volcanic. The mountains contain ferrocarbonic compounds, iron, chromium, and coking coal. Ferrofluids can be mined in some areas.
