Design: The structure of the submarine is a triple pressure hull made up of Titanium-Vanadium-Aluminium with crush zones and signficant hull bracing and honeycombing. The surface of the sub however, is the greatest innovation, taking the FDI’s viscous gel coating and storing it in a membranic, organic like covering that prevents the gel from dispersing. Layer is very effective at reducing both internal noise escape and dispersing incoming sonar, BUT is in turn easily damaged and is costly to maintain.
Base Cost: US$4 Billion or Equivelant
Overview: Large, powerful missile submarines designed for ultra-long ranged deployments and almost silent running. Expensive to build and maintain but offer unparalleled endurance and combat capability. 18 are already in service with Her Imperial Majesty's Navy in Flight I configuration and another 18 are on order as Flight II designs.
