Subjugator class Fleet Ballistic Missile Submarine

Subjugator Class SSBN

Displacement: 85,000 tons (light), 98,000 tons (submerged)

Dimensions: 270M L x 23M W x 28M D (submerged)

Propulsion:

2 x Ascension Nuclear Type-1 Pebblebed reactors rated at 125Mw each, each placed in a Acoustic-Dampening housing, connected to a Integrated Electric Propulsion system for quieter running.

1 x Electrical Induction Propellor Assembly (with no shaft) in an Acoustically Dampened housing.

Speed: 32+ knots (top speed, submerged)

Crew: 120

Endurance: Limited to crew endurance only. Ship carries eight months of supplies.

Diving Depth: 600 Metres

Radar:

APAR-SX Mod 1 Air/Surface (Medium Range Air/Surface Search/Targeting)

G04 Navigation (Short Range Surface Tracking)

Command and Control:

Falltech GSWDC Control Bloc (Ship Control)

Host arrays for Strategic Launch Verification System

Host arrays for multilink combat systems (such as AEGIS)

EW/decoys:

Four Internal Dual Reloadable Noisemaker Decoy Units

Falltech ‘Squidink’ LIDAR Disruption Decoy (releases a chemical detergent from the subs sides that alter the density of the surrounding water, misguiding LIDAR based systems. Affects both friendly and enemy LIDAR)

Falltech Mk44 Acoustic Intercept

Falltech Mk603 Intercept/Jamming Unit

Host arrays for ELINT equipment

LIDAR/SONAR:

Falltech Mk501 Bow-mounted Active LIDAR Array

Falltech Mk505A Towed Active/Passive LIDAR/SONAR Array

Aviation: None, though deck strengthened to accept landing helicopter whilst surfaced.

Armament, Flight I:

6 x 660mm (40 Torpedoes/Sub-launched ASMs)

24 x SLBM Tubes

6 x 50mm Underwater Supercav Railguns (can only be deployed at shallow depths and low speed)

2 x 500kw Falltech ‘Deadeye’ Laser CIWS, surface use only.

Armament, Flight II:

4 x 1000mm (40 Torpedoes/Sub-launched ASMs)

24 x SCM-110 Scimitar Tubes

6 x 50mm Underwater Supercav Railguns (can only be deployed at shallow depths and low speed)

2 x 500kw Falltech ‘Deadeye’ Laser CIWS, surface use only.

Design: The structure of the submarine is a triple pressure hull made up of Titanium-Vanadium-Aluminium with crush zones and signficant hull bracing and honeycombing. The surface of the sub however, is the greatest innovation, taking the FDI’s viscous gel coating and storing it in a membranic, organic like covering that prevents the gel from dispersing. Layer is very effective at reducing both internal noise escape and dispersing incoming sonar, BUT is in turn easily damaged and is costly to maintain.

Base Cost: US$4 Billion or Equivelant

Overview: Large, powerful missile submarines designed for ultra-long ranged deployments and almost silent running. Expensive to build and maintain but offer unparalleled endurance and combat capability. 18 are already in service with His Imperial Majesty's Navy in Flight I configuration and another 18 are on order as Flight II designs.
