Goodley is one of a long line of commanding centre-backs, from Seth Grüber through to Goodley's own protegé, Lyle Lovitz. He likes nothing better than denying attackers chances - except maybe taking chances himself. His rate of a goal every seven games is very good for a defender, especially in a team where Phillip Neasden and Kevin Keda tend to snaffle chances.
