The Fluffly Islands

The Fluffly Islands is a region of three nations that have come together in alliance in order to create a dicatorial utopia in which the so-called "good nations" have no influence or effect. The nations work together in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health, for richer and for poorer, until death do they part. Luckily, however, they are not married, as that would be considered polygamy, and, although there are no regional laws against practicing polygamy, the nations just don't like each other like that.

Geography

The nations lie atop many obsidian pillars reaching up from a vast chasm into the depths of Tartarus. These pillars are each capped with a bowl-shaped depression in which water collects. In these pools, the cities that make up the nations float on man-made islands. Small obsidian roads connect each city to all the others, and on special platforms near these roads small towns form as the thriving trade brings merchants and nomads. The furthest outlying villages lie atop precarious perches where two branch roads have been bridged. Inside the obsidian pillars are hundreds of caves which descend infinitely down into the Pit and connect all the nations together. Important people, such as the dictators of the nations, take refuge in these cave systems and rule from their underground havens in times of distinct crisis, like the current war ensuing from an overwhelming tide of invading Smilies. Large quantities of toast and Weapons of Mass Destruction (and toast) are rumoured to have been hidden inside the bowels of these caves by the ruler of Dominex Inc in case of just such an emergency.

United Nations

The nations, upon creating this alliance, made an explicit agreement not to be in the UN, because that would defeat the entire purpose of isolation. One nation, Kaytanori, had been in the UN previously but agreed to leave upon joining the region.

Comprising Nations

There are, at present, a mere three nations making up the Fluffly Islands. However, there was once four, and the fourth, most unfortunately, ceased to exist.

Kaytanori (The Mutant Academy of, currently)

Reenite (The Colony of) (Ceased to Exist)

The three currently-existing nations are currently attempting to cajole two others into creating a nation and joining the Fluffly Islands, but that still seems unlikely to happen.

Smilies

At the time of writing, The Fluffly Islands were being overrun by annoying Smilies, which the three nations have been combatting for a considerable amount of time. The war seemed won at one point, when Dominex Inc raided the rumoured Weapon Store and proceeded to incinerate the smilies, yet the numbers, though dwindling, continue to pour into the caves. The capitals of all three nations are inaccessible due to the invasion, but luckily the cave haven was set up to allow the exiled leaders to continue to govern despite their isolation.
