Ancestral Houses

Ancestral Houses can trace their lineage back to one of the seven sons of King Preakuros, the last of the Seven Kings of Telos, descended from King Akaenus, the mythological patriarch of Akaeia. When the patriarchs of these houses reached Meranen, they divided the survivors into sevenths and founded the Seven Tribes, leading ultimately to the Union of the Akaeium, which in Old Akaeian literally translates to "those of Akaenus's."

Early Empire

Although the Ancestral Houses were by no means out of the picture in the Early Empire, the following Houses first appeared at this time.

Middle Empire

After the Imperial ambitions of the Skenosix, Eklekteias, and Klesonoreias families had run their courses, the Houses convened at Akaeia and for all intents and purposes ran the Empire for the next couple hundred years.

Reconquest Empire

These Houses all came to being as a result of the Interregnum. They would come to dominate the Reconquest Empire, with a few small exceptions.
