Details

39 Troops of the RUMDF were station at a checkpoint just outside Jackson Hights, Morrisvile when on 17 March 1994 the Guerilla Lord Alliance blew a bomb up (it was the first time the GLA made did a bomb attack) 14 troops were killed and 25 injured

Reaction

Minister of Defence Jack Philips: comdemed the attack and said that the RUMDF will retalate

Commander-In-Cheif Gen. of the Army James Kaman: also Comdemed the attack and decleard war at the GLA

King James Douglas Morrison II: comdemed the attack and said the RUMDF will not rest until the GLA is wiped out

The Checkpoint Today

Today there are still troops stationed at the checkpoint there is now a memorial comemorating the troops who were killed

Major Henry Gropson (Deputy Leader of the Checkpoint was killed when his leg was torn off)

Captain Lesle Kemlow (Head of Communications was killed when shrapnel from the radio cut his head open)

Major Lieutenant Lennon McBride (Head of Navagation was killed when a piece of shrapnel cut his throt)

Colonel John Kaman (Representive of the Commander-In-Cheif, brother of James Kaman died when a GLA solider shot him in the head)

Mayor Winston Norson (Mayor of Morrisville killed by a GLA Sniper)

Lieutenant Colonel Micheal Harris (Representative of the Government killed when shot in the head)
