The Maritimes

    The Maritimes had been home to many cultures since time immemorial, but sadly, many of the traces of these early cultures were lost to the ravages of time, and plunderers from neighbouring regions's museum curators.  The first recorded settlement was by the Hectanoogeans in 3400 B.C. This region is mostly devoted to a peaceful co-existence with the surrounding sea and the expanses of lush boreal forests.
    It is a beautiful and diverse region, with many lakes, forests, parks, coastlines, lush valleys and mountainous regions.  Some areas within this region are dominated by forests, others by potato fields, and still others are dotted with fishing villages and apple orchards.
    The Maritimes isolate themselves from the other, more corrupt surrounding regions.  They pride themselves on their up keeping of tradition and culture.
    The diversity of The Maritimes can be attributed to the influx of several groups from regions all around the world.  The most significant groups present to this day are the Hectanoogeans and People of the Isthmus, who, not surprisingly, live on an isthmus.
