"The Holy Empire of The Mystic Mountain is a massive, safe nation, renowned for its punitive income tax rates. Its compassionate population of 3.446 billion are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, socially-minded government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Education, the Environment, and Healthcare. The average income tax rate is 100%. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising fourteen-year-old boys selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

The Mystic Mountain's educational system is the envy of many and regarded as a pinnacle of educational achievement, the lowest age at which one can marry has been recently lowered to 12, people are moving into treehouses in record numbers, and artists are pillars of society. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to a well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. The Mystic Mountain's national animal is the Penguin, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the Mount.

History

Created during August 2005, The Mystic Mountain has been a Holy Empire for most of it's time. It first started off in the Region of 'The East Pacific' but was shortly recruited to the region of 'Nationstates'. For the most of the time, The Mystic Mountain wanted to forward the region by proposing resolutions. It has created regions also such as the 'Goonish Empire' and co-founded 'The Goonish Empire'. It has had many arguments such as the invasion of 'Tommybob II'. This has been the only time that it has not been run by the Holy Empire of the Mystic Mountain. There, it became the 'Repugnent nation of...' and 'Mystical Mountains of....'. Now however as co-founder of 'The Goonish Empire', it is proposing to become UN Delegate. After the many disputes, The Mystic Mountain and Tommybob II founded Dark to Light. This became a region of 15 nations and even had its own senate however, due to the long ilness of emperor and the destruction of all of Tommybob's nations the region grew obsolete.

The Mystic Mountain is now in the region of Ireland after having a short visit back to its birthplace NationStates.
