The Holy Empire of the Mystic Mountain

"The Mystic Mountain" was created around August 2005 and currently has over 1 billion civilians.

"The Holy Empire of The Mystic Mountain is a massive, devout nation, renowned for its punitive income tax rates. Its compassionate population of 1.032 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Education, and Social Welfare. The average income tax rate is 91%. A very small private sector is dominated by the Information Technology industry.

Government officials frequently cut taxes as a distraction from antics with their secretaries, elderly citizens regularly buy posh multimillion-Mount mansions, citizens recently voted in favour of declaring bubblewrap an 'abomination of nature', and school uniforms are compulsory. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. The Mystic Mountain's national animal is the Penguin, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the Mount."

History

Created during August 2005, The Mystic Mountain has been a Holy Empire for most of it's time. It first started off in the Region of 'The East Pacific' but shortly recruited to the region of 'Nationstates'. Most of it's time it has been there opening new resolutions to forward this region. It has created also such as the 'Goonish Empire' and co-founded 'The Goonish Empire'. It has had many arguments such as the invasion of 'Tommybob II'. This has been the only time that it has not been run by the Holy Empire of the Mystic Mountain. Thre it became the 'Repugnent nation of...' and 'Mystical Mountains of....'. Now however as co-founder of 'The Goonish Empire', it is proposing to become UN Delegate.
