The Treaty of South Ankazyan


Preamble: In light of the disaster worked upon the Ankazi people by rebel forces, and with all hope put towards the return of a united and strong Ankazi nation, the following articles have been established to preserve the state and protect it from foreign encroachment. It is the sincere hope of all parties that together the Akaeian Empire and Ankazi nation can bring about a newfound era of prosperity, stability, and peace.

Article 1: The Ankazi State pledges full alliance with the Akaeian Empire, in all cases and without limit.

Article 2: The Ankazi State pledges to grant Akaeian ships harbor without tax.

Article 3: The Ankazi State pledges to grant a special district of the city for inhabitance by Akaeians.

Article 4: The Ankazi State pledges not to grant other nations or peoples similar rights without Akaeian approval.

Article 5: The Ankazi State, in unison with the Akaeian Empire, offers ships of the Guild of Saint Christopher a 5% reduction in port taxes paid.

Article 6: The Ankazi State is hereby granted one native representative to the Prolekteion in Akaeia.

Article 7: The Ankazi State is hereby granted representation set by Provincial Law in the Prolekteion of the Province of New Akaeia.

Article 8: The Ankazi State is hereby banned from voting in Provincial elections for 20 years, or until such time as it is incorporated into an Imperial province.

Article 9: All cases of law involving only Ankazi are to be settled in Ankazi courts, according to Ankazi law.

Article 10: All cases of law involving Ankazyan and Akaeian parties is to be settled by a jury of 13, with eight seats going to the nation in which the act was committed and five to the other, as apportioned according to each's law.

Article 11: The Ankazi State guarantees the safety of all materials and persons from the Old World while in Ankazyan.

Article 12: The Akaeian Empire pledges to guarantee the safety of the Ankazi State, and to protect its interests in the region.

Article 13: The Akaeian Empire guarantees the throne of Emir Evhad Parazadde, as held in regency by General Uhaddein Yaragash and Kogiriji al-Toraq as co-regents in the name of Emir Evhad Parazadde until such time as the Emir reaches adulthood. They are to govern jointly in matters of clear and present danger, but otherwise then men will manage the military and civil concerns of the state, respectively. The nation is to be run according to existant Ankazi tradition.

Article 14: The Empire of Akaeia pledges to work with Ankazi officials to modernize the military forces of the state and arm and staff them.

Article 15: The missionaries of the Ressurexit faith are granted the right to preach the word of Iesinor to the people of Ankazyan without fear of retribution or of injury.

Article 16: The Akaeian Empire will provide Evhad with an Akaeian instructor.

Article 17: The Empire of Akaeia guarantees the life and honor of Evhad Parazadde, and pledges all its forces to this cause.

Article 18: This treaty may be edited by a consensus of both parties.

It is with these articles drawn up, in the hopes of reaching stablitiy and peace and restoring the glory of the nation of Ankazyan, that the above has been ratified by delegates of the peoples of both states.
