The Cabinet

The Ministers of the Throne all have portfolios and responsibilities regulated to every vital department. Ministers are the highest representatives of departments and are directly answerable to the Hall of Councilors and the press for what goes on in their departments. As a Ministerial portfolio may be prestigious and powerful it is also extremely difficult to escape misdeeds within the departments by high ranking civil servants who are often more difficult to remove or catch.

Minister of Treasury (Keeper of the Vault)

Arguably the most powerful cabinet position after that of the Prime Minister himself, the Minister of Treasury acts as the accountant for the entire Arch-Imperium dividing up the money required for all departments and controlling Tax Revenues. The Treasury is also one of the most powerful departments as it is also responsible for property seizures that are always present when citizens or corporations evade their taxation responsibilities. The Minister of the Treasury is one of the most senior cabinet positions but it does not have authority over other cabinet ministers.

Minister of Foreign Affairs (Keeper of the Imperial Seal)

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is a ministry of substantial importance as it oversees direct diplomatic relationships with other nations. In conjunction with ambassadors and diplomats all over the world the Ministry of Foreign Affairs oversees the protection of Xheng Nationals and businesses abroad. The Minister of Foreign Affairs often works with the Minister of Defense and Military Power for safeguarding the Arch-Imperium.

Minister of Justice (Keeper of the Imperial Code)

Headed by the Attorney General/Keeper of the Imperial Code the Minister of Justice is the chief lawyer and legal representative for the Arch-Imperium. The Minister of Justice has no influence over the Grand Archon who is actually a judge, but the Attorney General is a lawyer who can argue the Imperial Stratagem's case to the Grand Archon if a conflict emerges. The Minister of Justice introduces most legal laws into the Imperial Stratagem.

Minister of Defense and Military Power

Chief Administrator and Senior Military advisor to the Prime Minister and the Emperor and Imperial Proxy. The Minister of Defense and Military Power is also the secondary head of the military, under the Emperor himself. As with other responsibilities, the Imperial Proxy may take temporary head of the military command if the Emperor wishes. In accordinance to law, the Minister of Defense can instantly promote or demote any officer in the Army, Navy, or Air Force.

Minister of Human Resources

The Minister of Human Resources is the chief official responsible for the management of labour as well as employment and insurance. Human Resources is responsible for diving manpower similarly to how the Treasury divides up money. To most the Ministry of Human Resources does work that the public rarely sees.

Minister of Transportation

The Ministry of Transportation is a mammoth department. Though not as large as others like Defense, the Ministry of Transportation has to handle transportation issues throughout the Arch-Imperium. Under the Emperor's plan to build a massive canal, nearly half of the entire Ministry's resources have been devoted to building the canal. In addition, the result would have been a huge budget as well for the bureaucracy needed to handle the structure.

Minister of Security and Protection

To prevent terrorist attacks as well as the establishment of internal security and espionage branches is the responsibility of the MInister of Security and Protection. From there, the Minister of Security and Protection coordinates the efforts of many security forces required to keep the people of the Arch-Imperium safe.

Minister of Natural Resources

The wealth of natural resources is always a comodity for trade throughout the world. At one time a seperate ministry, the Ministry of Energy was also responsible for petroleum reserves, natural gas, and coal reserves but they were absorbed into the Ministry of Natural Resources. Overseeing the mining contracts of various ore deposits and monitoring the forestry industry is vital to the survival of the Arch-Imperium's economy.

Minister of Enviornmental Affairs

Protection of the enviornment is vital to the Imperial Stratagem. The natural beauty of the landscape and nature itself must be preserved. To do so the Imperial stratagem instituted the formation of the Ministry of Enviornmental Affairs. Wildlife preserves and monitoring of toxic elements in the air is most important to the Ministry. In addition the Minister of Enviornmental Affairs has recently drawn up a draft for an international agreement to limit the amount of greenhouse gases emitted by nations.

Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs

The Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs coordinates multiple ministry projects. The building of the Canal for example is actially a multiple-ministry work project that involves Human Resources, Finance, Transportation as well as Defense. The IA ministry has to oversee overall cooperation towards the project and make sure that jurisdiction is maintained.

Minister of International Trade

Thriving international commerce must be monitored and negociated by an official of the Arch-Imperium. No doubt the Minister of International Trade has to be a master diplomat often working with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the keeper of the Imperial Seal.

Minister of Corporate Relations

The Corporation Relations Ministry oversees the requirements of Dynastic International and its other branch companies. To monitor private actions between companies and to make sure that they are all following regulations to prevent scandals and corruption is the need for this particular ministry. The Corporate Relations Ministry also has its own private armed force, the Corporate Guard, needed for seizure of property. The Corporate Guard acts on authority of the Minister of Corporate Relations. The Ministry itself is directly subordinate to the Ministry of the Treasury, which means that the Minister of Corporate Relations must obey his superior, the Minister of Finance.

Minister of Information and Culture

To the Arts and expressionists of the Arch-Imperium, the Minister of Information and Culture monitors media and information throughout the nation. Big companies like Imperial Telecom must follow guidelines and regulations set by the MIC, similarly to how the Minister of Corporate Relations monitors companies.
