History

C.F. Toros de Silaldia was founded in 1954 by a group of Silaldian businessmen who wanted to form new team to represent the new prvince of Progreso. The name was taken from the traditionally famous Silaldian Lidia Bulls, regarded still today as the best Vassfforcian bulls for corridas. The team rapidly joined LFV first division but for nearly twenty years Toros was not an important team. On the late 70s Toros played their first final and in 1980 they won their first championship. Two years later they won a second championship, but since the late 80s the team has become once mor a mediocre team in the LFV.
