The Costa Bravan Credit, also known as the Credit or CBC, is the national currency of Costa Bravo. It was adopted in 1985 by Regent Jacques Pierot, during the Pierot-Motisse Reformations. Since the Pierot-Motisse Reformations in 1985, Costa Bravo has utilized the Costa Bravan Credit as a monetary standard. Costa Bravan Credits have no coin denomination, but are entirely paper dollars, ranging from .1 to 500 bills. Standard bills are 1, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 500. Assorted decimal bills include .01, .05, .1, .2, .5.

Costa Bravan Credits are simply designed, with no ornate furnishings or arbitrary aesthetic additions. Instead, all data is stored electronically in a fiber interlay meshed within the paper. This data can be retrieved by simple scanning machines. This serves not only to decrease production cost, but to impede counterfitting.

The currency prior to the implementation of the Costa Bravan Credit was the Costa Bravan Dollar. Plans for a new, revamped currency system has been proposed, though no relevant legislation has been drafted.

As of late November 2006, the exchange rate between Costa Bravan Dollar and USD is .65.
