Trout

The Trout is the common slapping tool in the Internet Relay Chat. It can be used in ways depending on the IRC-client. The most general, which works on every client is to type: /me slaps (user) around a bit with a large trout (Telnetters have to use privmsg #(channel) :(Ctrl-A)ACTION slaps (user) around a bit with a large trout(Ctrl-A)). Some clients like mIRC allow users to select it from a menu when clicking on a username. Others have aliases, which can be set to slap-commands or /slap works.
