History
The UASNF-205, also known as the Prowler and the Underwater Asylum Space Navy Fighter Type 205, is the newest starfighter to have been added to the UASN Fleets. It was born out of a need for the UASN-6701 to have a stealth-capable component, and accordingly has been designed almost exclusively to be compatible with the 6701's systems.
Ezekiel Tricou, the newly appointed Defence Minister of the Empire and former Emperor's Fist, worked closely with Dr. Miho Asagiri to create the 205 and is responsible for the development of several revolutionary technologies involved. This is the first design of what may prove to be a highly succesful career.
Design
The 205 is, sadly, designed for covert operations and many of the specifics of the technology involved are thus classified. Fortunately, part of them are unclassified and can be related in this document.
Armament
The 205 is equipped with several state of the art weapon systems which allow it to engage ships in the range of light fighter through to Battleship.
- Two 6 barrel, gas operated rotary cannons firing 30mm rounds located on both sides of the cockpit. Each is 2.2 metres long
nd capable of 8000 RPM.
- On the wings are located 4 Fist missiles, 2 located on each wing and removed during storage.
Defenses
The 205 is equipped with 3 inches of Duranium plate armour and an inch of ceramite. Perhaps most unusual for a UASN vessel, the 205 does not mount any shields. It is theorized that they interfere with the cloaking device.
