The Republics is not one country. It is actually 3 Countries in one CJ. But we are here only to discuss one of them the UCLE.

The United Cities of Little Egg Harbor is part of The Republics. The Republics is located in the Southern Atlantic Ocean.

The Republics A History

The Republics is made up of 3 countries. The Ludwigs Republic The Democratic Peoples Republic of the Atlantic, and the United Cities of Little Egg Harbor. The Republics used to be called the Phoenix Empire before the Phoenix Empire collasped. The Modern Day Republics are a culimination of war, blood and Iron.

History

To better understand the History of the Republics is to know its history. The Phoenix Homeland has become the center of Phoenix power and struggle since time began here. The Homeland was created so long ago that I cannot remember when. It was settled by the English in the early 1450's. Sadly the island became a penal colony and eventually there were more criminals living on the island than residents. Eventually they overthrew there English Government in the mid 1650's. Then arose a new country names The Republic of Chinnas. The Chinnas Government split the island into 2 halves in the early 1915 because the one ne side couldn't be controlled. The Chinnas Government was then overthrown in the mid 1930's. The Homeland was then ruled by a Dictator named Rafiel Drake. He would be the leader to take the all of the colonies that are known today in the Republics. The Phoenix Empire as it was known was overthrown in the late 1980's, thus making it the second longest government to rule on the island. The Modern day Republics are a mixture of Dictatorships and Triumvirates.

English Colony

The English discovered the Island in the mid 1450's. Its unclear when because several settlements were "lost". The first 3 colonies dissapeared from the island. And thus the first perminant settlement wasn't created until the Mid 1460's. The Garrison then found a bunch of cave drawling like fire breathing dragons. The Commander ordered all references to the "drawlings" to be calle a Phoenix Bird. And thus the name Phoenix was ever embedded with the islands residents. The English managed to keep the colonly by planting a huge Military garrison of 2,000 soldier there. By 1535 the Island had becom a Penal Colony much like Austriala became towards the end of the height of the British Empire. By 1633 the number of prisoners outnumbered the Military and the residents on the island. There was also rumors that the prisoners might try and rebell against the Military and the citizens on ths islands. To prevent this the Govenor of the Island Colony wrote to the King requestion Heavy Infantry hoping that it would prevent rebellon. The Infantry arrived to late. Only to find that most of the women and children were rapped, and the soldiers beheaded. As a modern historian put it "Think of Apocalypse Now but ten time worse. The Heavy Infantry consisted of 20,000 heavily armed soldiers, went looking for the prisoners in the woods and jungles that surround th island. some of the fiercest battles ever fought durning this time peroid gave the island a special nick name "The Isle of Death" The Commander asked for renforcements, and soon there were over 45,000 soldiers in the island. There were several battles that ended up in rebel victory. The rebels burned the Governors Mansion and the city of Port Royal when they fled. Because of that it took the british Goverment 2 years to track down the number of Prisoners that were sent to the island.It turned out that the prisoners out numbered the British nearly 2:1. Well to make this story shorter the British sent an additional 30,000 soldiers and a letter that stated "take back the Island at all costs". The British then launched a sea invasion of the Western side of the colony and were literally wiped out. Of the inital invasion force of 20,000 men only 200 surived to return. Not only that but that meant that 19,800 Muskets, food, Clothing, and ammunition were captured by the enemy.The prisoners then dressed up in a bunch of British uniforms and pretended to return to camp. That night they attacked the camp killing 30,000 soldiers and wounding over 22,000 more. several thousand were never found. By 1650 the Colony was free from British Rule.

The Republic of Chinnas

The newly created country was not a country yet. But the Prisoners decided to make a country after all. They appointed a scolar as there leader. He was a political prisoner and was sentanced to the island for preeching an idea called Democracy. They made there Capitol Ludwigs and then also created masterful wonders from wood bridges to highways. They turned this island into there playland. Slave traders came to the island as a stop over and for trading goods as well. The created a working Democracy and thus became popluar with runaway slaves and prisoners from other countries. The Popluation of the island grew to more than one million by 1800. It was at that point when Napoleaon sent a fleet of Warships to the island to discuss a treaty. The leaders of the country agreeded. They then sent supplies to Napoleaons Soldiers durnign his Russian Campaign. The British then started attackign Chinnas shipping in early 1815, and then the Chinnas military conducted several raids on the English coast. They included pillaging and killing citizens, burning villages and destroying croplands, vital for the British War effort against Napoleon. The Beritish Navy stopped, and then the Chinnas Military stopped as well. The Chinnas Country then had a 115 years of Peace.

Decline of the Republic

The Decline in the Republic began with the election of President ColaMarks. He had a fancy for women and literally beaded the National Treasury to nothing. He was assassinated in 1912. Then came President Washbam, he worked hard to bring the country back to order. However one area known as Georgiana wanted to separate from The Republic. President Washbam in his infinite wisdom decided to ignore the situation.

From Republic to Empire

The transition started in July of 1913 when the Arch Duke Franz Joseph Ferdinand (Emperor of Austria-Hungry) fled to the Republic of Chinnas where President George Washbam agreed to grant asylum. After he abdicated the throne there was a power vacuum, so Austria-Hungry went into chaos. It is because of this power vacuum, World War 1 would start. When he entered the Republic of Chinnas he went directly into politics, became a senator in the Chinnas Senate. In 1914 he died from a heart attack. His Son Rafael Drake was granted the Georgiana colony and it was given to him as his own country after his father’s funeral in 1914. In President Washbam’s infinite wisdom he gave the Colony to Rafael Drake as a present from the Chinnas People. Rafael didn’t know it, but Georgiana wanted to separate from Chinnas for a long time. The Georgiana Colony was practically rebellious to Chinnas rule. Combined with the death of the Arch Duke this made a perfect excuse to get rid of the rebellious problem. Rafael’s last name was “Americanized”. He took his state of Georgiana and turned it into a Little Chinnas. He set up his country just like the Chinnas Republic. Every last political item was similar. He then founded a Capitol named Little Egg Harbor because of all of the Little Eggs that could be found in the Harbor. Everything was fine until Communists came to preach communism. President Drake’s support faded during this time of crisis. With an unstable nation and unstable economy ex-president Drake asked the Republic of Chinnas for Military assistance. Outgoing President Washbam promised support; but there was one unseen problem…there was a national transfer of power. Incoming President Nuremger would not help the fledging nation.

Civil War

In 1931 Emperor Drake sends several important Military Generals to Germany and Spain to observe the new war tactics of mechanized warfare. He Set up conscription and drafted Soldiers. Now The Emperor had an Army.

From all accounts the War broke out on May 1, 1934. the Fait of the Chinnas Republic was sealed. The first battle of the war was fought on the Muntz Canal. The Muntz Canal was a canal that ran along the border between Phoenix and Chinnas. The canal ran from the Capitol of Ludwigs to the sea on the southern coast. Stating early on the morning of May 1st 1934 65,000 Soldiers from the IFF (The Imperial Fighting Force) cross the canal at over a dozen areas. The spear head movement caught the Chinnas Army off guard and by 1935 they had advanced to within 22 miles of the Capitol. The Capitol of Ludwigs was guarded by mountains on the North, and open planes on the west and south. The Muntz Canal ran along a section of Ludwigs called the Master Center. However the capitol itself would become a deadly war zone. Even thought it was spring of 1935 the Phoenix Army was very successful and its new tactics of Phoenix Movement were so effective that the Phoenix Military itself was surprised. The Phoenix Newspapers proclaimed that Victory was near but they never foresaw the insanity of it all.

Phoenix’s Stalingrad

By November of 1935 the Capitol Ludwigs was a fortress. Even thought the President was giving the orders himself he still couldn’t win. The City was surrounded and hopeless. The Phoenix Government used Propaganda to ensure the population that the fighting was almost over……but it was so very wrong. On November 21 it snowed for the first time in a very long time. The Phoenix Military was not prepared to deal with snow. So they did what they did best construct a fort around the city. With Ludwigs under siege the Chinnas Government prayed for a miracle. That payer was answered. In 80 hours over 10 feet of snow fell in the capitol. Since the Chinnas troops had raided the fur factories in the Master Center which was a part of the massive industrial sector along the canal. On Christmas day 1935 720 Phoenix Soldiers were dieing from frostbite; however over 1,000 Chinnas civilians and soldiers died per day during the blizzard of 1935.

End of the War

In June of 1936, The Republic of Chinnas surrendered to the Phoenix Nation. Propaganda films from the time showed Chinnas atrocities such as the Concentration and death camps, but the new Phoenix Nation was catching up with the rest of the world.

Battle for Supremecy

PHIA Agents started infiltrated other nations the most famous being the Soviet Union. PHIA Agents in Germany stole the Tiger Tank designs, from Americans the Browning automatic rifle, and Thomson Sub machine Gun, from the British plans for a super dreadnought. The Phoenix Nation was on its way to becoming a power. But by 1938 Emperor Drake watched as Japan attacked the Pacific and China. And Germany was weaseling its way around the Sudenland, and the Rhine.

World War II

Preparing For War

In 1938, for the first time civilians were drafted from the former Republic of Chinnas. Despite the fears of draft riots, and rebellons the people willingly signed up and were drafted. The Emperor was just waiting for a reason to enter the war.He would have to wait until 1942 for that chance.

Entering World War II

Axis or Allie? That was the question that faced the Emperor in the beginning of the war. He decided to enter the war as an independant nation, fighting on the side of the allies, but not under America's command.

Creating an Empire

For the first time in 1939 the Phoenix military topped of at 3 million fighting men. The leading cause for this upsurge of patriotism was propaganda. In 1940 The Phoenix Nation stated looking overseas, and they began trading with many Asian nations. In 1941 The Phoenix nation traded raw materials with the U.S. and Japan. The Emperor of Japan Hirohito decided to sign a non aggression pact with this rising power. The Prime Minister Hideki Tojo told Emperor Hirohito that the Phoenix military would be an enemy to deal with in the future. Six months later the Japanese Empire would Clash with the United States. With War betweent he U.S. and Japan, Emperor Drake consoldated his military power. His trusted Generals would run the war that in his mind would make a vast empire, an empire that he even boasted to Adolf Hitler that the Phoenix Empire would crush the Third Reich durning an anti Nazi speech in the capitol.

Nationalism and Imperialism

Emperor Drake sighted the fortunes in India. Back in 1937 the PHIA (Phoenix home Intelligence Agency) funded a guerrilla army in India. By the Time of Phoenix’s entry the guerilla army succeeded in taking India from the British. The guerrilla army was loyal to Emperor Drake not because he wanted them to be, but he had freed them from British rule. The Leader of the Indian National Army (INA) was a man named George Macarthus. George Macarthus advised that Emperor Drake get involved in French Indochina.

Middle East Crazy

General George Macarthus had plans of his own though. He sends about 600,000 INA soldiers to the Middle East. With help of the Phoenix navy they landed on the Saudi Arabia Peninsula. The INA captures a lot of territory from the Nazis. Although the British Empire rules here, this is the beginning of the end in terms of British superiority. The Phoenix Empire from here becomes a major player in world affairs. In The early stages the Phoenix military was invading Iraq and Egypt at the same time, but a counter attack by the British and Germans forced a retreat. The INA stopped the British advance but only after almost cutting the territory in half. The Phoenix IFF stopped the Germans at the Suez Canal. A counter attack later pushed the Nazis father into Egypt.

Phoenix Indochina

In August of 1942 600,000 Soldiers from the Phoenix mainland sailed to French Indochina with one mission get as much land as possible. The Phoenix Army met the Japanese Military for the first time in September in a city called Saigon. The Japanese and Phoenix militaries would clashed over the course of 9 months before the French Indochina province was liberated from the Japanese.

The End Of The War

The War ended with Nazi Germany destroyed, Japan defeated and the Phoenix Nation holding 1/8 of the Globe under its control. At the end of the war the French got Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia back. Its odd to note that within 10 years the Empire would be back in French Indochina, where it would take Cambodia from France. The Middle East was kept just split up into a Colony, India achieved Commonwealth status in the 1950's, Indochina remains a colony even today.

The Indochina Wars

Prelude To War After World War II, the Phoenix Empire settled into an era of peace. The Red Scare set in and Communisum was literaly eradicated from the Empire. As the time of peace continued into the 1950's the Empire saw the rise of the National Communist in what was then Indochina.
War on the Horizon From all accounts the Indochina Wars began around the Year 1956. It was then that the Phoenix Empire invaded Cambodia and reclaimed it from France as a "Buffer" zone in which it could use as a deturrent from war with the rising conflict in Vietnam. America, while being in the war 2 years now asked the Empire to annex Laos as well from Frace. it was 1956, and the war was young still. By 1960 the Empire was also involved in the Vietnam War, just it was just able to withhold the communist bloc forming along its borders. China from the north, Vietnam from the east, both invading the Empire. As time went on the war in Indochina saw the ammount of troops reaching around 3 Million with an additional 8 million stationed around the rest of the Empire.
End of the War The War Ended in the 1980's. South Vietnam finally surrendered, China withdrew after a long battle against the Phoenix Empire, and the world settling back into peace once again. The war cost millions of lives, and many suggest caused the downfall of the Phoenix Empire.

6 Years

Six years after the end of the war the Empire finally imploded. The Empire littley fell apart, with most of the empire being set free. The Middle East countries finally became known as OPEC, India was set free, and the Mars Colony literaly became self independant.

The Rise of The Republics

The Modern Republics rose over the next 10 years of war. After the formal collaspe of the Empire, several factions rose up that today are in power. While the Phoenix Empire does exist in the UCLE, it too has suffered from change. The Ludwigs Republic and The Democratic Peopes Republic of The Atlantic, at the time of the split up were one faction, and thus split from the Modern Day UCLE. Then power struggles lead to the split up of DPROA and TLR. After roughtly 10 years of Civil unrest, warring generals, fights for land, the Republics literally stabalised and finally decided to reconnect with the world.

Rise of the Republican Empire

The Republican Empire or more commonly known as the United Cities of Little Egg Harbor (UCLE) is the most powerful of all The Republics Nations. The UCLE is unmatched in military, economic, and naval power, weather its compaired to The Republics, or on the World Scale, the UCLE's might is one to be delt with.

Inflation is at a bare minimum. It is kept this way through price controls, low unemployment, and a high trade balance with its colonies.
