History

The UPOD was founded in 2017 by the merger of the Partis Libéral and Conservateur to be stronger against what they called "The Socialist invasion of Oliverry". René Lécuyer was named as the leader of the new party. This party never been successful, mainly because of the strongness of socialism and of their conservatism, considered as many as too drastic for a nation such as Oliverry. In 2020, a new leader was elected just in time for election, Christophe Perreault. He would manage to win some seats in the Assemblée Nationale in the 2020 elections, while he managed to win more seats in the Sénat. He will run as party leader again in this election.
