United Federation

On December 31, 2006, this region was taken over by the founder and incumbent Prime Minister, Lalaue, who suspended the constitution and the forum. Subsequently he crowned himself King of the United Federation.

His main opponent in the January 2007 elections North Kingladn, the chairman of the Conservative Party, was ejected and banned from the United Federation.

As King Lalaue's noose tightens around those stuck in his evil kingdom, North Kingladn and those rejected by the fake leader, wait until the day comes when justice shall be done to reverse the acts of tyranny committed by Lalaue.

In protest against the unconstitutional actions of founder Lalaue, one of the newest members of the United Federation, The Psonic Psunspot (the founder of the new Progressive Party), decided to leave the United Federation and found a new region based on democratic principles, the Democratic Federation.

Introduction

The United Federation is a medium-sized group in NationStates based on liberty, democracy, and freedom. The sovereignty of the nations that are members are upheld to the highest degree.

Government

With a parliamentary-style democracy, members of Parliament are elected every month, along with a new provision to the Constitution that instructs the Prime Minister to be up for election every six months. There are no term limits.

Prime Ministers

The Head of State in the United Federation. All ministers are responsible to him/her and the Prime Minister is responsible for the well-being and the security of the region.

Vice Prime Ministers

The Vice Prime Minister is the Head of Government in the region and is also the head diplomat for the region, s/he regulates the cabinet and the meetings, and also acts Prime Minister in the event the Prime Minister is unable to discharge his/her duties.

Chiefs of Staff

Replaced by the Vice Prime Minister.

Ministers of Domestic Defense

He/She regulates the Harmful Regions List (HRL) and gives the Prime Minister advice on the United Federation's security.

Ministers of Public Affairs

He/She runs the news thread, establishes embassies in foreign regions, sets up meetings between the Prime Minister and foreign leaders, and offers advice to the Prime Minister on other regions and foreign leaders.

Ministers of Elections

The Minister of Elections gathers applications to run for office, monitors elections, and finalizes/certifies the results once the elections have ended.

Ministers of Recruitment

Recruits in the feeder regions, composes new recruitment messages, and answers any and all questions posed by potential citizens.

There had been much debate over the constitutionality of the Prime Minister's decision to postpone the December 2006 elections until January; however, through much persuasion and arm-bending, the rules were changed - this time - to postpone the December elections until January.
